• Pear-shaped flagellate with 3-5 anterior flagella, an undulating membrane with trailing flagellum and a protruding rod-like axostyle
• Note the position of the kinetoplast, nucleusm undulating membrane and free portion of the anterior flagellum
• Trichomonas foetus -reproductive organs of cattle
• Trichomonas gallinae - oral parasites of birds
